For the last 5 years, Ruaridh has been responsible for the overall delivery of projects from first contact with landowners to closing legal due diligence either for a sale to a third party or funders. During his time with Balance, he’s brought numerous skill sets in house, enhancing Balance’s ability to deliver projects efficiently and to a higher standard whilst also making the development process more cost effective. He instigates and oversees varying external relationships throughout the development process, including land agents, legal practices, EPC contractors, O&M contractors, equipment manufacturers, funders, off-takers, and partnerships. Internally to Balance Power, Ruaridh has ensured the recruitment of staff provides real added value to the business and its ability to grow and adapt to the industry. He has strong commercial understanding and management skills and provides guidance and direction both to Balance Power as a business, as well as the contractual elements of all developments. His Degree in Business & International Finance, and subsequent MSc in Quantity Surveying also provide insight into expected risk, CAPEX and OPEX on projects at development and at build stage early, providing the wider team at Balance the ability to address, and resolve, perspective problems early.
