St Helens, Liverpool, UK – specialist energy project developer, Balance Power appoints Ryan Macindoe as its Planning Manager.
Ryan will support Balance Power’s strategic vison and is responsible for delivering planning consents for the company’s pipeline of renewable energy projects. He will also work closely with key stakeholders to provide more certainty and unblock barriers within the planning process.
Ryan brings a wealth of experience in planning and environmental impact assessment, having shaped and delivered large-scale and complex renewable energy, industrial and mixed-use projects in both the UK and Australia. He has an agile approach to planning which has been developed by leading multi-disciplinary project teams across sectors and geographies. Ryan plans to leverage this way of working to complement Balance Power’s existing in-house expertise to deliver sustainable deliverable projects.
Ryan Macindoe, newly appointed Planning Manager at Balance Power, says: “Balance Power provides a unique offering and has a strong track record for delivering sustainable projects that provide maximum impact for landowners, communities, and investors.
“I was eager to join a hugely ambitious and successful team who have a clear vision for the future of the business and the UK’s energy landscape.”
Balance Power has been successfully developing energy projects since 2017 and has earned a reputation for excellence within the industry. To date, Balance Power delivers UK wide coverage through 27 consented projects, 312MW delivered capacity, and 1,400MW+ under development.
Ryan continues: “We need to make it easier for consumers and businesses to choose clean energy; I’m looking forward to delivering sustainable projects that make a real impact to the local surroundings, communities, and the UK’s energy transition.”
Ryan’s appointment follows Balance Power’s recent move to a new office space in St. Helens to accommodate its fast-growing team.
Phil Thompson, CEO of Balance Power, says: “We are delighted to have Ryan join our expanding team. The UK planning system is very sophisticated, but barriers within the planning process cause unnecessary and costly delays to the roll out of energy projects which would supply more renewable energy to homes and power-intensive businesses. Ryan’s expertise and cross-sector knowledge will bolster our in-house capability and help us to deliver maximum impact for the planet and our partners.”
